The content on this page is Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Days in Sweden´s services. Note that this FAQ only acts as a Q&A page and you should carefully read our ToC for rules and policies regarding our services.
Important: If there is a case of ambiguity in this FAQ the content of the ToC will always have precedence. The same goes for any possible errors on this page or cases where the FAQ is not updated at the same time as the Terms and Conditions.
What is the difference between B&B and Rental?
When you stay at a Bed and Breakfast you usually rent a room or section of a house. It is common that your host stay in close proximity to your area and that you share certain things connected to the accommodation (for example: WC, bath, kitchen, entrance).
When you stay at a Rental you (most likely) will have the whole place to yourself. You are still staying in someone else´s home and should pay attention to keeping the place in the same condition as it were when you arrived. Read our ToC for more on what you as a guest need to take into consideration, including obligations, when deciding between a B&B and a Rental.
What is included in the breakfast?
Coffee or Tea, bread, cheese, marmalade and orange juice. If you have an allergy and need to change any item, please advise your host before arrival.
How big is a Queen/King size bed?
A Queen size is 140 cm to 160 cm wide, King Size is 180 cm to 200 cm in width and a Double bed is two separate beds 90 cm wide. Min 200 cm in length for all bed types.
Can I bring anybody else to my room?
No, only those who are booked may use the room.
Are there any cooking facilities in the room?
No generally not. Only when renting a complete apartment.
What is “shared ” bathroom ?
The bathroom is shared with the host, or other guests. As a guest you have priority to the bathroom.
How late can we return to our room at night?
In general, as late as you like, but please be quiet.
Can I leave my luggage in the room during the day of my departure?
That is up to the host but generally no, as the room will be prepared for the next guest. There are luggage deposit boxes at the Central Station (if you are staying in any major city).
Are there any laundry facilities available?
Talk to your host, some hosts will do the laundry for you at an additional cost, others can show you how to use their washing machine or the laundry room generally found in the building.
What time do I have to leave?
The normal check out time is 11 am (11:00). If you would like to leave the apartment later, please talk to the host.
How do I get the key when renting an apartment?
When your booking has been confirmed, you will get contact details for the host in order to decide what is most convenient. Most commonly the host will meet you at the apartment.
Is there a telephone in the apartment?
No, not in general but GSM phones work in Sweden. If coming from an area with a different system i.e. the US, you can rent a phone at most of the phone shops in town and at Arlanda Airport. You can also buy a Swedish pre paid SIM card at most kiosks and convenient stores.
Is there an internet connection in the apartment?
Yes, most apartments have internet connection, free of charge. Bring your computer and network card. If you want to be sure there is an internet connection, check when doing the reservation.
Can I smoke in the apartment?
No, all the apartments and rooms are smoke free.
Where can I change money?
There are several Bureaux de Change, Forex in central Stockholm, for example at the Central Station, as well as at the airports. Most banks also provide exchange service. Credit cards are widely accepted. ATM machines will accept your credit cards.
What happens if I break something?
Guests are responsible and will be charged at replacement cost.
What happens if I lose a key?
For security reasons, we would need to change the locks and keys. Guests are fully responsible for the extra costs that inflicts.
Will any taxes be added?
No.

For less serious incidents begin with contacting your host and if that does not work, contact Days in Sweden and we will assist you any way we can. Note that Days in Sweden is not the final provider of the accommodation and any disputes should be solved primarily with your host.
